Should I opt for timber or composite decking?

One of the most common questions by would-be decking owners is over which material to go for: timber or composite. Both look great and have their own benefits, but ultimately it is down to personal tastes.

Many prefer timber because of its natural look and rustic feel, while others opt for composite materials because they are very low maintenance.

Can I install my timber or composite decking?

Yes, you can, just like you can probably fix a leak and mend faulty wiring. But unless you are a professional, these jobs are best left to the experts.

How long will my timber decking last?

Timber decking is made with long-lasting and durable materials such as hardwoods or pressure-treated softwoods. As long as quality materials are used, and the decking is well maintained, you can expect a lifespan of around 25 years.

Does decking require maintenance?

Like your home’s internal spaces, decking requires regular cleaning and maintenance. This includes sweeping to remove leaves, dirt and other debris. It is advisable to give your decking a thorough clean at least once a year. Use a mild detergent or a specialist decking cleaning product.  Or consider a pressure washer.

What carport styles do you offer?

We have four carport styles to choose from – Gable, Dutch Gable, Skillion and Hip Roof.

What carport sizes do you offer?

Our carports are custom built and come in an extensive range of sizes. Just tell us what you want, and we can supply it.

What do I need to do to make my site ready for the installation of a carport?

There are a few things you can do to save time and help us before installation. This includes clearing the site of any vegetation and debris and ensuring the surface is flat and level. An unprepared site can cause delays.

Are all your patios the same design?

No, not at all. We custom design patios according to your requirements. Let us know what you want, and we’ll bring your vision to life.

What areas do you cover?

We provide our services to residential, commercial and industrial clients throughout Southeast Queensland. Among the areas we cover are Brisbane CBD and Inner City, Northside Brisbane, Southside Brisbane, Brisbane East & West, Toowoomba, Ipswich, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast.

Do you take care of council permits?

Yes, we do. We’ll obtain approvals on your behalf at no extra cost to you.

Do I have to be present when you are working?

We understand that many of our clients are busy people and may have work to do, errands to run and so on. This means it may be very difficult for you to be present when we are working on your project. It is not a requirement.

Am I under any obligation if I receive a free quote?

No, you are not. Providing clients and potential clients with free, no-obligation quotes is all part of the service.

Do you offer any warranties?

Yes. A written workmanship guarantee covers every project we complete, and we provide manufacturer warranties on all our materials.
